- steamed short-grain rice4 cups
- beef sirloin, thinly sliced400g
- gochujang (Korean chili paste)3 tbsp
- soy sauce2 tbsp
- honey1 tbsp
- sesame oil1 tbsp
- garlic, minced3 cloves
- ginger, grated1 tsp
- pear, grated2 tbsp
- vegetable oil1 tbsp
- kimchi, chopped1 cup
- carrot, julienned1 medium
- cucumber, julienned1/2

In a bowl, whisk together gochujang, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and grated pear. Add the sliced beef and toss to coat. Marinate for at least 15 minutes (or up to 30).

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned and caramelized. Remove from heat.

In the same skillet, add the kimchi and stir-fry for 2 minutes until slightly wilted. Set aside.

Divide the warm rice among four bowls. Top each with the kimchi, then the beef, and arrange julienned carrot and cucumber on the side.
