Chocolate Gateau
Alright folks, let me tell you how to make my irresistible Chocolate Gateau. First, preheat your oven and grease that cake tin like it's your best friend's back. Trust me, you don't want your cake to stick and cause a meltdown worse than when I tried to bake with my cat running around the kitchen! Now, a little tip from me to you: when melting the chocolate, don't let any water sneak into the bowl unless you want a lumpy mess (been there, done that). And when the mixture starts to look a bit funky while adding the eggs, just toss in a bit of flour to smooth things out. It's like magic, I promise! Oh, and let me share a funny memory with you: once, I mistook salt for sugar in a cake like this. Let's just say it was a salty surprise for everyone at the table! Now go ahead, bake up this velvety, buttery goodness and indulge in a slice of heaven. Enjoy, my fellow dessert enthusiasts!

Break the chocolate into a heatproof bowl and place over a saucepan of gently simmering water and stir until it melts. (or melt in the microwave for 2-3 mins stirring occasionally)

Place the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl and cream together with a wooden spoon until light and fluffy. Gradually beat in the eggs, adding a little flour if the mixture begins to curdle. Fold in the remaining flour with the cooled, melted chocolate and milk. Mix until smooth.

Spread the mixture into the cake tin and bake for 50-55 mins or until firm in the centre and a skewer comes out cleanly. Cool for 10 minutes, then turn out and cool completely.
