Beef Caldereta

Rich, hearty Beef Caldereta is a Filipino classic—a deeply savory stew where tender beef melts into a velvety sauce studded with vibrant bell peppers, potatoes, and carrots. The dish balances bold umami from soy sauce and tomato paste with a subtle sweetness from peanut butter, while a gentle heat lingers from the peppers. Slow simmering ensures the meat becomes fork-tender, soaking up every layer of flavor until the sauce thickens into a glossy, irresistible coating. Worth the time and care, this dish delivers a satisfying, soul-warming meal that’s as comforting as it is impressive.
