5-Ingredient Crispy Honey Garlic Salmon (Done in 20 Minutes, I Promise)

My boyfriend used to say he didn't like salmon. Now this is the most requested dinner in our apartment. The trick is getting that skin insanely crispy first — then the honey garlic glaze does all the work. Five ingredients, one pan, zero excuses not to eat well on a Tuesday night.

Directions

  1. 1

Pat salmon fillets completely dry with paper towels — this is non-negotiable for crispy skin.

  2. 2

Season flesh side lightly with salt and pepper.

  3. 3

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high. Add butter. Place salmon skin-side down, press gently for 30 seconds.

  4. 4

Cook skin-side down for 6-7 minutes without moving. The skin should be golden and crispy.

  5. 5

Flip salmon. While it finishes cooking (2 min), push it to one side. Add garlic to the empty side, saute 30 seconds.

  6. 6

Mix honey and soy sauce, pour over garlic and salmon. Let it bubble and caramelize for 1-2 minutes, spooning glaze over the fish.

  7. 7

Remove from heat. Serve immediately with steamed rice or veggies.
